alternative wrapping....

I bought a pack of red and white checky tea towels from Tesco to craft with but gave up after cutting out one heart as I didn't like the fabric....(as in its not the easiest to sew!!!)so I have discovered another use...
gift bags -sewn up 2 sides...tied with string...et voila!!!!
I have wrapped up little gifts and popped inside like a mini santa sack for the in laws, but I reckon you could just pop the gift in.....
Nearly there with the wrapping....I have used quite a few different wrappings this year - lots of brown paper though....and I have put lots of things inside cereal etc boxes before wrapping to make life easy for me....

bless the red and white wrapping done by my eldest....next year I shall show him a neater finish lol!!!
I do like it when all my pressies are wrapped...and sat looking lovely under the tree. But I wished I had wrapped as I went along this year, it all got a bit overwhelming..and I have lost a gift somewhere along the line..oh and one of the boys currently is totally unwrapped!! So Father C better get a shift on!!!
Hopefully after tonight I can sit back and enjoy the fact I am all ready?! Just a few to go......

Very clever! The end result is ever so good, with relatively little work - great combo. I don't think I commented on your Pause post, as I've been having One of Those Weeks too, but I still read it and enjoyed it/understood it. Thanks.

You're further along than I am - I've yet to wrap any pressies!

Need to get a move on as we've a family get-together and pressie swap on Monday night!

Well done, it all looks very pretty. I love the idea of the present sacks.
Every year I say I am going to wrap as I go along. I have not started yet as I am completely overwhelmed by it all.

Your presents look lovely Claire, thank you for sharing :)
Well I am getting in a right olde flap, can't remember what I have wrapped now. See we do the different wrapping paper from Father Christmas, then we have the different wrapping from the animals in the family in Wales, then different one from Mummy and Daddy, then the children each give one another presents in yes you have guessed it different wrapping paper, is it any wonder I am all confuddled, and yet to buy the Adults presents aahhhhaahahhhhhahahahahah ;)

I am lovin it really ;o)

I am going to sew the boys some to hold their gifts in. My mum gave me a large table cloth in holly, so will use that

Lovely wrapping Claire,
This year all our papers are red/white/brown combos lol - makes them look co-ordinated - or so we like to think :D xx

That is such a good idea about the tea towels....I have just finished making a quilt for my Mum so I think a "soft" wrapping paper would be good around that.

What a great idea!

I've yet to wrap my presents yet.... I've yet to write my cards for that matter!

It's home tonight for some serious ticking off of that to do list of mine!

Your wrapping looks super!

Strangly enough I used the same tea towels to make storage bags for our vintage campervan in the summer! They are a really good buy! x
