spring

It is officially spring today....I am wearing A SKIRT!!!
I'm not going out anywhere as my legs have only had one coat of fake tan so are not fit for public viewing yet but...its a skirt!!!
I am working today...obviously ;)
Mum has 2 teeny boys so I can get on with 'patch' work....I do feel in limbo until the fabric arrives...and I'm getting excited about its arrival!! Not looking forward to writing the mahoosive cheque perhaps..but i may disappear for a day while I lock myself away with it!!! I am still getting the 'office' ready, we ordered from Ikea online for the big bits I need (popping to Ikea for me is a good 5 hour round trip!!) which will get us nearly organised before we can get to the shop in person for the essentials they don't deliver (like tealights and fabric lol!)
Anyway I have some boring paperwork to get through today, so I shall break it up with some nicer things...like.....
rosali bedding!!
Someone very very kindly offered to pop to Ikea to get me a rosali bedding set as I had heard a cheeky rumour the design was back in the UK...

she got me not one but 2 sets a blue and a pink/white :D
I am so smiley...now I don't claim to love rosali as much as this lovely lady...but *sigh* .......I keep looking out of the window at it blowing on the line!!
Now my intention was to cut and make but now its here...not sure I will be able to make that 1st cut!!!
Thank you angel cake for being such a lovely friend xxx
Now I need some green fingered advice..is it too early to plant out sweet pea plants???
I have started them off in loo rolls (better roots by all accounts) on the windowsill....and they are now getting too big....do I need to harden off before whacking them in the ground??
They are healthier looking plants than the ones I have previously bought in the garden centre, but any help for my next move gratefully received!!

For sweetpeas, I would start putting them out on a table during the day and bringing in at night so they can get used to the weather - heavy rain could totally flatten them so it's still early days yet, yours must have started very early, you could give some little sticks to hang on to so they can get busy with their lovely curly tendrills.

I love the toilet roll idea. It would make the planting out into garden beds so much easier. Thank you. Kim :)

I went to Ikea and bought rosali bedding yesterday too! I bought it in the blue. And I had to wash it when I got home and it does look beautiful hanging on the line!

I can't do fake tan so I am inflicting my lily-white pins on the world! Have bought a few very pretty floral skirts from Sainsburys and can't wait to wear them. I am excited about the fabric too - just can't wait!xx

I planted out my sweet peas yesterday, but my garden is quite sheltered.

Sweet peas - I would get them used to outdoors for a few days first, bring them in at night.
And why can't we have an Ikea a little closer? Its not fair!!!

Have had my lily-white legs out today too - though I've had leggings on under my skirt as its still not quite warm enough.

We should arrange a Suffolk Bloggers day trip to Ikea - so all us deprived ladies get a visit ;)

I would love to pop over Ikea to get some Rosali for me but although living very close to a shop (Southampton) I never get around to find TIME to go there.
Yours look so spring like and airy on the washing line... :)

Ohooo more Rosali love going on around here, keep it up ;0) How lovely of angelcakes to get you some, I agree, it looks beautiful on the line wafting in the spring breeze. I have been thinking of cutting up the blue, but can't quite bring myself to do it yet.

I can vouch for the lovely ribbons you stock, can't quite get round to cutting into them too :0) Can't wait for the fabrics

Lovely pictures of the washing line! I've been wearing a very LONG skirt, as I have some bizarre and unaccountable injury to my shin which would look pretty yucky if I exposed it. Am I the only one who can't even remember how I hurt myself when I have marks?

What fab fabrics hanging on your line. Re the Sweetpeas they should be OK now. Make sure you put them in plenty of well rotten organic matter for really healthy plants and flowers - they love it.

How kind of Shabby Angel to buy you the Rosali set, please dont cut it up, it is much too beautiful. :)
about the sweet peas, I bought a packet last week from B&Q, and on the packet, it says they can go straight in the ground right now, no need to start them off on the widowsil or anything, so going by that, I would think you will be fine planting your seedlings out. :) xxxx

Mmmmmm....floaty skirts and sandals - it's turned ever so nippy here today, but great for the washing.

Enjoy the rest of your weekend,

I love Rosali too. I really love your pictures of your bedlinen on the line, and the fact that it makes you smile. I do the same thing! I'm glad I found your blog. Sending glitter and smiles, Emma. x
